Apply Online or In-Person

Apply Online for a Temporary Card

A library card number will be emailed to you within three business days.This temporary card immediately allows access to online resources such as:

  • OverDrive: provides you with eBooks and eAudiobooks
  • RBDigital: has popular magazines and downloadable audiobooks
  • Kanopy: movie streaming service, Great Courses, and KanopyKids
  • Freegal Music: music streaming and download service
  • TumbleBooks: eBooks for eKids
  • eLearning: hundreds of online courses to supplement your learning
  • Educational resources: always available online through your library

As of now, your temporary card does not expire. However, to gain access to the physical collection in the library and Library Network, you’ll need a permanent card. You may pick up your permanent card to gain access to the library's physical collection by following these simple steps.

  1.  Bring photo ID and proof of address (these are two separate items, see details below)
  2. Tell the workers at the front desk that you registered online and are ready to pick up your library card

Apply In-Person at the Library

The initial Camp Verde Community Library card is free to Yavapai County residents. Please bring the following items to get a library card:

     1. government or school issued ID (valid driver's license, passport, Mexican CID, etc.)
     2. proof of Yavapai County residency (current driver's license, utility bill, rental agreement, etc.)
     3. a piece of mail addressed to the applicant, postmarked within 30 days of the library card application

If you are unable to supply something from lines 2 or 3 above, we will gladly issue you a CVCL Temp Card with full access to online resources, in-library computer-use and the ability checkout 2 items at a time. Learn more about Library Cards. Learn more about CVCL Temp Cards.

Children 12 years of age and under must have a parent or legal guardian present to obtain a card. A minor from 13 -17 years of age may obtain a 3-month temporary card with limited privileges until the parent or guardian comes into the library and gives consent for full access.

Any person who does not have a current Yavapai County address, may get a temporary library card with limited privileges until proof of residency is provided.

A Library card includes automatic access to the Internet on public Internet computers and to the Library’s online resources available from home, school or elsewhere.
