Water Production produces, treats, and stores our ground water supply.

water tankGround water is the sole source of potable water in the Town of Camp Verde. The Town produces water from 3 production wells. The main two system wells are located at the Mongini site off Coury Drive at the far west Town boundary. One additional well feeds two 10,000-gallon tanks located within the Verde River Estates feeding a separate water system within the subdivision. The Verde River Estates already had an arsenic removal system.

For the Mongini site, the water is disinfected with chlorine water treatment and then pumped a 2.7 million gallon and 1.3-million-gallon storage tank. Water is delivered along Highway 260 in a 12-inch diameter PVC water main into the Town and surrounding area via gravity feed. Additional water storage tanks are located at Park Verde (211,000 gallon) and Townsite Tank (719,000 gallon). Both the Park Verde and Townsite areas are equipped with booster stations to back feed the system to the west.

The Town is fortunate to draw from high quality aquifers, the water requires minimal treatment. Water Operations selects a combination of two treatment processes appropriate to reduce the contaminants found in our groundwater. These two processes are disinfection with the use of Chlorine, Water Blending and Arsenic Removal. Towns Water Production system includes 3 wells, 4 Water Storage Tanks, 2 Booster Stations and 6 Pressure Regulating sites. These processes and infrastructures ensure the delivery of potable water not only at safe levels, but water quality that surpasses state and federal regulations. These pumps and booster stations supply water throughout the City’s 60 or more miles of water main pipes. Tank elevations, pumping and controls are managed by our production staff and supplemented by our Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition software (SCADA).
