Music in the Stacks July 2024 flyer

Music in the Stacks is a showcase of local and national musicians who entertain regularly in Northern Arizona. There are 3-5 different performers during the show, with a rotating variety each month.

July’s concert features Mike Greenleaf, Paul Gazda, & Chris Grieve.

Mike Greenleaf is a Seattle-born singer-songwriter now living in the Arizona desert and has been writing and performing for over 40 years. His songwriting is influenced by a wide variety of musical styles – at times heartfelt, at times humorous, but always deeply personal and intelligent. Mike’s songs capture the genuine experience of everyday reality. His performance style is warm, open, engaging, and unpretentious.

When the Beatles hit the airwaves in 1964, Paul Gazda began teaching himself guitar. The following year, he joined his first band. In 1971, he joined a full-time rock band and began writing songs. Unfortunately, after a year of gigging on the road, he found that life on the road did not agree with him, so he shifted his creative focus to another of his loves…creating art. A reunion of his high school band in 2015 rekindled his love of music, and the next year, he and Bob Chadwick started a band that would become The Eclectics. Since then, he has enjoyed the fun and musical growth of playing local open mics, concerts, and gigs.

Chris Grieve is originally from the UK and moved to America in 2015, and you can hear the UK influence in Chris's Music. Although musically an 80's fan Chris knows it's important to keep up to date with new artists so his playlist extends from the 80's to today, and although deeply influenced by the usual guitar singer songwriter you will also find a refreshing divergence to his musical styles and musical interpretations
