Starting on Wednesday, June 9th from 3:00-4:00 pm and continuing for the next 3 weeks on Wednesday at the same time, the Ready Set Bank Digital Basics course, taught by local resident Lynn Sweitzer, provides an introduction to online banking, including the benefits of online banking, how to get started, and how banks protect your information. Students will learn about encryption, multi-factor authentication, how to avoid scams, and ways to be safe online. The course will also cover an introduction to downloading and using apps, and common online banking functions, such as how to deposit a check with a smartphone, online bill pay, and setting account alerts.
The class will be offered in-person at the library and also via Zoom so that people can take the class from home. The Zoom Meeting info is as follows:
