The Association of Financial Educators is a nationwide network of financial professionals who have a passion for education and share a common goal: to empower individuals and communities with the knowledge they need to take control of their own financial well-being. We strongly believe that by providing free financial education to the public, our collective communities benefit.
About AFE and what they do:
• We are a 501(c)(3) nonprofit association of financial professionals who donate their time to give back to the community.
• We work directly with the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) to conduct free financial education workshops for companies and their employees.* The CFPB is federal government agency that regulates the financial sectors of the U.S. as well as helps promote financial education for all individuals in the country.
• We’ve been doing this for well over a decade and have worked with thousands of companies during that time.
• Our workshops are designed to help people of all income brackets, from individuals living paycheck to paycheck to those seeking more advanced information on investment strategies, market trends, retirement and more.
• Our workshops are designed to last anywhere from 30-45 minutes. We do this so that most employees can attend during their lunch time and the impact to their work is mitigated.
• Our advisors are not allowed to sell or endorse any product or service of any kind during the workshops. Workshops are for educational purposes only
