How can I file an appeal?

What should I know about Courtroom Standards?
COURTROOM STANDARDS: Upon entering the courthouse, you are REQUIRED to observe the following standards:
1. NO WEAPONS OF ANY KIND ARE ALLOWED IN THE COURT BUILDING PURSUANT TO ARS 13-3102A(10). Violation of this statute is a class one misdemeanor and is subject to criminal prosecution.
2. No one may enter the courthouse with food, drink or chewing gum. Please dispose of these items prior to entry.
3. Wear appropriate attire. Clothing need not be formal but no one is allowed into the courtroom without shoes or shirt. T-shirts with offensive slogans or pictures are not permitted. If you are wearing a hat, please remove it upon entering the courtroom.
4. In the Courtroom, use of cell phones, pagers, cameras, or other electronic devices are subject to Camp Verde Municipal Court Administrative Order 2019-1.
5. When you are called to the bench to address the Judge, stand a few feet back - NEVER lean on the bench. DO NOT attempt to speak to the Judge from the audience.
6. While waiting your turn to see the Judge, do not chat or whisper to friends. If you need to speak, leave the courtroom for a few minutes. Court proceedings may be in the process of being taped and background conversation can interfere with the audio taping of the record. Avoid shuffling papers or reading a newspaper if it is a distraction to others.
7. If at all possible, do not bring small children to Court. We recognize that at times it may be necessary to do so, please monitor their behavior and keep them as quiet as possible. If a child becomes noisy or unruly, you and your child may be asked to leave the courtroom.

Adoption and implementation of presumptive standards for remote and in-person hearings

court picture #3 On April 27, 2022, Chief Justice Robert Brutinel issued Administrative Order 2022-46, adopting Presumptive Standards for remote and In-Person Hearings and requiring the presiding judge of each municipal court to issue and administrative order adopting standards regarding which hearing types should be held remotely and which should be held in person. On August 3, 2022, the Chief Justice issued Administrative Order 2022-88 (replacing AO 2022-46).

PUBLIC HEALTH EMERGENCY UPDATE

On April 1, 2022, Chief Justice Robert Brutinel signed Administrative Order 2022-34 with ordered all Arizona Courts, probation departments, juvenile detention centers, and the office of the presiding disciplinary judge to resume normal operations.

USE OF ELECTRONIC DEVICES

Per Administrative Order 2019-002 that went into effect February 1, 2019, persons are not permitted to use electronic devices to photograph, record or broadcast anything occurring in the courtroom or courthouse without prior permission of the Court. The Camp Verde Municipal Court has Court security personnel who are stationed at the main entrance to the court.

Everyone entering the courtroom must pass through a metal detector and must place all personal belongings through examined and viewed. In addition, personal belongings and person may be subject to a search.
